Im trying to install silverlight but the installation fails right away and says: "unable to install silverlight because another program is being installed. finish the installation before proceeding" the problem is Im not installing anything! I even tried closing all my programs that are running and installed the windows updates i didnt have installed and it still doesnt work. whats going on?
May be u should check ur PC for malicious stuff and clear them & then try installing it.

download again from somewhere else and then try installing

Try restarting your computer and then immediately installing Silverlight. It’s an add-on which I’ve never found a use for

Yeah, so you just install silverlight. It’s always been like that and it always will ten to one stay that way, too

Restart the computer, then try again before you do anything else.
