What is Microsoft Silverlight and why do I need it?

Also hae you ever heard of Bonjour and Active Disk? Do I need them and can I delete the three of these from my computer?

Microsoft Silver light is Microsoft’s answer to Adobe Flash. It essentially does the same thing and some websites require you to have Silverlight installed in order to watch embedded videos (NBC.com is one of them).

I don’t know about Bonjour or Active Disk though.
