Happy new year to all. Although when I first purchased my pc everything worked, after a while and with apparently no reason, everything that uses flash I cannot listen to. I can hear songs from spotify, view movies, listen to cds and all, so the sound works, but no videos from youtube and other stuff like that, like powerpoint presentations with music etc I see them but with no sound. Someone mentioned to me that I should install silverlight and that would solve the problem, but it is a bit more complicated than I thought it was, or maybe I am doing something wrong. I downloaded from the silverlight page but I seem to do something else as that only does not seem to work. Any ideas from the clever IT people? Thanks so much.
Hi, thanks for the reply but I forgot to say that I tried uninstalling and installing flash again with no result.
try installing firefox and then flashplayer.if youtube works from firefox then the allow thirdparty browser add-ons is probs unticked in ie properties .which will stop flash installing. if this cures the problem then do untick it afterwards as it stops a lot of toolbars you dont want installing themselves behind your back.
