This is my question.
When excess aqueous ammonia is added to Ni(OH)2 the solid dissolves and the complex ion Ni(NH3)6^2+ is formed. Write the net ionic equation for the reaction. Please help.
Ni(OH)2 + 6 NH3 = Ni(NH3)6 2+ + 2 OH-
