Hello. I have …
o. I have Dreamweaver and I’m trying to place a Flash file on my HTML page. It appears that I need a converter - to convert my WMV file to a Flv. file. Also, what type of file are you placing on your web page? Is it a jpeg, flash file or what? I think those steps are missing and leaves a person who is learning Flash scratching their head.

OK I’ve really …
OK I’ve really about had it with these child molester sounding narrators. Also, I’ve noticed and this is probably due to paranoia. That steps are purposely skipped. It’s not as easy as it sounds to embed flash/swf. I’ve gone to creative clowns and there are pages of people with the same problem on the same instructions here and each time the instructor if they can be called that, either repeats like parrot the same bs instructions or simply ignores the poster. andrew kramer does this .

CS4 is great and it …
CS4 is great and it uses swfObject to embed Flash, but what if you want to add multiple swfs onto your page and layer them? What if you want your swfs to float above your page? You have to do some JavaScript coding - OR you can use a free tool called Enhance that does all of the coding for you and gives you more power when adding Flash to websites.

create menu object …
create menu object in jpg format. You can do this in photoshop or similar program. it is simpler to make 1 whole menu bar; with correct pixel dimensions that would fit into your tag box in DW. Click on that image in DW a black border appears in the properties section bellow the page you’ll see at the lower left side blue geometric shapes. Select the rectangle drag the curser over the item that you want to drop down, then go to properties…+…you’ll see make “show pop up menu”.

within dreamweaver, …
within dreamweaver, in the tag inspector under behavior. First you have to create an image file, then you hot spot it (if you know what that is). Once you have placed that blue layer over your image, in the tag inspector window, in the righ side pannel, click on the + sign, in the drop down menu select “pop-up menu; a window will open where you can put in your text & select your atributes.
Good Luck

what might have …
what might have happened is that dreamweaver or ur media source does not recognize the codes for the flash player or javascript (at some instances) what u do is just execute the flash setup file again and it should be good to go (i am uming that u already have the flash exe file when u first downloaded flash) otherwise download flash again. hope this helps
