What level of Computer Programming is Visual Basic for Microsoft Excel considered?

Is computer programming Visual Basic in Excel considered computer programming Visual Basic? Or can a person be considered a Visual Basic Programmer with only programming Visual Basic in Microsoft Excel.

VBA (vb for excel) is considered really more scripting rather than full on programming, its very simple and while you can do some cool things (within excel) you’re not dealing with about 90% of the things full on software development deals with.

    VBA are nowadays professional in companies. But mere knowlede of VBA (Like recording of macros) will not help you further. Try to learn vb.net and object oriented concepts. That will lead you a professional VBA Coder and good jobs in financial domain.
