What classes do I need to take for computer programming?

My school councilors can’t give me any real answers. I know I need to take computer science, but what other classes do I need to take before I start in computer programming?

Hi

That depends on which path you wish to take in the programming world. Do you want to do web design, database processing, embedded software or what. While there is overlap in these things, there are differences.

I would look to the schools on your list, and see what their programs offer. I would also take a look at the help wanted ads in the place you want to live and see what types of jobs are open.

if u have completed your high school then you can go for BSc. Computers
or for computer science engineering………..or if u are looking for a short term course then you can go for any c++ course from any institute or you can purchase the whole c++ essential training kit from http://www.Lynda.com this is a very good training site which teaches you all different types of software’s and languages (video tutorials)

Well you should be real good at maths, or at least try to study. A good knowledge of Physics is also important. After that you can start learning pascal, or Python at home as a starting point. You have nice free compilers online as well as ebooks.
I just don’t understand whether you’re choosing what to do in high school or if you’ve already been through high school, Either ways after high school you have to go to Informatics Engineering course and in order to do so you should master mathematics and Physics pretty well.
