I’ve been talking to a man at DeVry University, and I’ve decided that computer programming is something I’d enjoy. I don’t know very much about programming, so what are some sites that can teach me a little bit so I can get a headstart in this field? Preferably free of course.
Programming is not an easy field. It’s a way of thinking. There are a ton of free books out there that you can get started on. Chances are you’ll be learning a programming language like Java, C# or Python. Sun’s Java tutorials are very good and there are many forums and free tutorials you can browse through elsewhere on the web. Just google (or yahoo) it.

Ok David.
I think you can start from Algorithm & Programming. You can just search it on bookstore. Or go to http://www.scribd.com they have ton of books.
Start with PASCAL is good enough, but better you start with VB.
