Everytime I try and add an attachment, it crashes and I lose the whole email. What the hell is Silverlight?
It’s Microsoft’s streaming video app they got the franchise to broadcast the Olympics with (instead of Flash or MPEG that everyone had already on all platforms)
i installed silverlight to use netflix but netflix just keeps saying i need to install it but silverlight says i already have installed it
Trying restarting your browser, and if that doesn’t work then restart your computer; if that doesn’t work, reinstall Silverlight and then restart your computer just to be safe.
I meet all of the system requirements for silverlight (firefox version, OS compatible, plenty of ram and processor) and I don’t have a previous version of silverlight installed (given that i just did a factory reset a month ago). Moreover, before I did the factory reset, i had silverlight installed on this very computer, and yet now it’s saying my computer isn’t compatible.
Netflix won’t let me run without this - I will best answer anyone who fixes this problem for me.
go to your internet type microsoft silverlight and down load from microsoft if you have a 32 bit
go to start but hit right mouse to exployer and check though programes you might have
silverlight left behind repair it there
I downloaded Silverlight so I could instantly watch movies on Netflix. When I tried to watch it, it said "setting up your movie player" and nothing happened… I let it sit for a few minutes and, still, nothing changed. I did some research and found out it was Silverlight that makes that happen, and everywhere I looked said to go to library>internet plug-ins>silverlight>uninstall to get rid of it but when I went to internet plug-ins nothing was there! I really don’t know what to do.
Help from someone would be great! Thanks!
Open finder.
Go to Applications.
Locate MS Silverlight.
Drag to trash.
Restart Mac.
NOTE:
Both these answers will fix your problem. One’s just easier than the other.
I have 3 or 4 .xaml files in my silverlight application. By using the this.RootVisual property, I can
access only one .xaml file at a time. I also want to see other .xaml files output by default in
different .aspx pages. How can I do that?
My first stop would be wikipedia or google for a quick reference. I actually had a similar question not even 5 days ago, but I couldn’t find the answer. If it’s possible, try getting help from someone with more knowledge/experience/expertise, like a professional if it’s possible. This can be pretty important.
I saw a forum with this online, but I didn’t have time to read it all. Try checking it out. I want to help out more, but I’m not 100% sure about the answer. Sorry I’m not much help. I hope you found your answer! Good luck!
I need to put some Silverlight programs on the Internet. I am looking for a free website hosting service that would host HTML files, CSS files, and some Silverlight xap files. It is ok if the website must have ads. I also don’t want to purchase my own domain, I would like to use a free subdomain. Any suggestions?
You’ll need to find a host that offers Windows based hosting. Years ago I looked for one but never found a good free one. I ended up buying a domain name, installing IIS on a spare computer and hosting the site myself. Cost: $20 per year.
I imagine it’s directed to General streaming such as Youtube and such, but would it also have any effect on streaming live football? Also, how effective is this programme in general, is it worth downloading and installing?
Silverlight is more or less Microsoft’s version of flash player, it is required for some Microsoft sites, and at present very little else depends on it for streaming, though some services use it the default is still Flash Player and shockwave.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Silverlight explains it far better than I can.
I originally installed it but decided to remove it from my hard drive. I decided to install it again at a later date but it won’t let me. What is wrong?
If Silverlight doesn’t work its a chance that your copy of Windows failed validation. Silverlight is only available on genuine windows PC’s.
Hope this helps, Sungmin
Can I delete one if I have the other? My adobe reader never opens when I try to open a file and I heard that I should definitely keep microsoft silverlight, so do I need to keep adobe reader or could I function without it?
Silverlight is Microsoft’s version of Adobe Flash. Adobe reader is a PDF viewer. You need both.
Well..
Would it?
I mean would it work well.
Because I dont have a mouse or anything.
So are you sure that it wont like explode in my face or anything?
Yes it will
