And how do they differ with respect to the effects of net water movements?
The osmotic pressure, turgor pressure and the water potential are the factors responsible for the net flow of water, from one cell to another.
I have a net book and would like to install some anti virus software, however most of it seems to be downloaded from a CD. As my net book does not have a CD drive this is not possible. How else can I install this (and any other) software?
A digital version of the software that can easily be found on the internet.
If you do have older CD’s with things you want to install then getting an external dvd drive is your best option
Net takers are those states which receive more federal aid than they pay in federal taxes.
Net givers are those states which pay more money in federal taxes than they receive in federal aid.
Before you attack me for not providing sources, remember that this is a hypothetical question.
Thank you.
I would not be surprised looking at the states that voted red (AL, GA…) and those that voted blue (CA, NY etc)
A principal earned interest at the net rate of 4% for 5 years. How many percent did the principal increase altogether during these 5 years?
There’s either a table or a formula in your book for calculating compound interest.
I prefer to use a spreadsheet, enter the formula for one year, and let the spreadsheet do the work. You can use your formula (or table) and check it against my spreadsheet:
yearprincipalrate . . . end of year
1 . . . $1.00 . . . 4.00% . . . $1.04
2 . . . $1.04 . . . 4.00% . . . $1.08
3 . . . $1.08 . . . 4.00% . . . $1.12
4 . . . $1.12 . . . 4.00% . . . $1.17
5 . . . $1.17 . . . 4.00% . . . $1.22
$1.22 - $1 = $.22
$.22 / 1 = 22%
I was reading about an accounting firm that had said the net income per partner in the firm and and the average compensation per partner. The net income was $12,000 more than the average compensation. What is the difference between the two?
Possibly they retained $12,000 x number of partners, and thus did not distribute it as compensation. But the terms are somewhat tangled, compensation not being a strict term when partners are involved.
What would be the net amount of moneys earned to receive the earned income credit for 2 children?
I am having a debate with my ex-husband.
Thank You to all that answer wisely!

I have had my baby swordtail fish in a breeder net for nearly a month now. While reading a different article it seemed that the person was suggesting too long in the net could stunt their growth. How long can I leave them with out causing this to happen? If I let them go right now my Killie fish will eat them.
When I used to breed livebearing fish, I used LOTS of live plants, artificial "breeding grass" and even a divider in one end of my tank to make sure the babies had plenty of places to hide. the divider had tiny holes the babies could get through, but the big ones couldn’t. I still lost a few to hungry adults, but many survived to adulthood.
We did a lab where we combined liquids and looked for precipitates and now we are required to write the Net ionic equation for each of them that had a precipitate. Problem is, i don’t get how… He explained it in class in a ton of different ways, but i never kept up with him.
I need someone to explain every step in finding the net ionic equation…
One of the questions i have to do is Pb(NO3)2 (Lead (II) nitrate) and Na2CO3 (Sodium Carbonate).
Many thanks ahead of time!
You should see a precipitate form when you combine lead (II) nitrate and sodium carbonate. Lead (II) carbonate will form, while the sodium and nitrate ions will remain in solution.
Pb2+ + CO3^2- –> PbCO3(s)
The income statement of a proprietorship for the month of December indicates a net income of $75,000. During the same period, the owner withdrew $100,000 in cash from the business for personal use.
Would it be correct to say that the business incurred a net loss of $25,000 during the month?
No … the money withdrawn was either a loan to the owner or a draw down of the owners equity. Either way these are balance sheet transactions not P & L transactions.
We just recently got hughes net, but they are a bit unclear about the fair access policy. I know about the download limit, but there is a time period of unlimited downloads (2am-7am EST). The problem is, we live in central time. Does that mean that our period is 3am-8am, or is it the same. I don’t want to download too much and blow the bandwidth cap (slow speed sucks!). I would prefer that a hughes net employee answer this question.
You’ve got it backwards. 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM EST is 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM CST.
Don’t forget that these will shift during daylight savings time unless your contract states otherwise. (For that portion, you need an answer from Hughes.)
