In the upper side of dreamweaver screen, there’s a drop-down media button, next to images button.

I’m planning to work on a Dreamweaver website with multiple computers. If I travel with a laptop and am not connected to the same network, will it still work?

As long as you have FTP access to the server, you can download, edit then upload/overwrite the file from anywhere. I recommend an easier FTP program though…

I have dreamweaver version 8 and was wondering whether it works with piczo and how. Thanks in advance!

I have no idea how Piczo and Dreamweaver can work together.
On Piczo you can just put html codes, which you can generate in Dreamweaver anyway.

I made a website using Photoshop and dreamweaver but I’m required to make a flash website for a class. Is it possible to transfer the files from photoshop or dreamweaver into Flash?

You cannot put anything from Dreamweaver into Flash…but you can put a SWF (the final flash product) file into Dreamweaver.

Same goes for Photoshop. You can place a JPG/PNG created in Photoshop into Flash.

Ultimately your flash site will have to be contained with an HTML page.

Hope that helps

I designed a website in Photoshop, created slices, and exported for the Web to Dreamweaver. When I try to hyperlink a button, such as my logo, it jumbles part of the design up. White spaces appear in short columns and it appears to break the frame (I guess that would be the correct term). It shows up when viewing in the browser. How can I fix this?

PhotoShop creates a tangle of messy HTML code strings, where slightest font changes could potentially screw up your layout. If you cannot clean up your script, try using CSS to make your hyperlink look ‘normal’ as if there was none. If the layout returns to normal, with the hyperlink still there (in desguise), then you know its the font the hyperlink becomes that is screwing up the sizes.
Good LucK!

I already have a running website through yahoo geo cities and I am now trying to learn Dreamweaver CS3 since I just got the software. If I learn this, do I have to start with ground zero or can I update and fix my website using my present website?

Use an FTP program to download your web site to your computer.
Instructions here:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/geocities/gftp/gftp-09.html

Then set up a new site in dreamweaver and point it to the folder where you downloaded to.

Before you do anything else, find a new place to put your web site. Geocities is discontinuing their service this year!

How do you insert a widget into your web page with Macromedia dreamweaver? I am just not sure thanks

you mean a widget from a widget website? If so, there should be a code on there to add it to a website. Just copy the code, go onto code view in dreamweaver and paste it in. If you mean something you have made in flash, then you can go to the insert menu and select flash or movie and then find it.

I am making a webpage in Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 and I have a frame on the left that has too much text and pictures in it so it wont fit on the screen. It wont scroll down either so most of my text is cut off the page…how can I add a scrollbar in so that all of my material can be read?

Add SCROLLING ="yes" or SCROLLING="auto" to your FRAME tag.
