What is the net force on a skydiver falling with a constant velocity of 10 m/s downward? Could someone explain to me how I approach this problem? Thanks for your help in advance!

If there exists a net force on any object, then that object would accelerating, thus changing its velocity. Since you saw the skydiver is falling with a *constant* velocity, he’s definitely not accelerating and thus no net force is acting on him.

Just wondering as I have realatives coming round tonight from America so I was going to wash my Mum’s net curtains for her. Thanks
Ok. Thanks!! I will hand wash them, just in case.

its safer to hand wash then and if you put some bleach in them they’ll be extra clean!!!

I can’t afford to buy dreamweaver right now. What is the best free alternative to dreamweaver that is a wysiwyg/code editor?

Kompozer is EXCELLENT. It’s a visual WYSIWYG editor just like Dreamweaver that requires little coding knowledge (although the more knowledge you have, the better experience you will have). It’s free and open-source, and probably the only really notable one comparable to Dreamweaver.

When a 41.6 g tennis ball is served, it accelerates from rest to a speed of 42.4 m/s. The impact with the racket gives the ball a constant acceleration over a distance of 45.4 cm. What is the magnitude of the net force acting on the ball?

We know the acceleration is constant, we can use one of the kinematic equations of motion to find the acceleration. And then use F = ma, multiplying the acceleration by the mass will give the force.

We have the following information:
u = initial speed = 0 (the ball accelerates from rest)
v = final speed = 42.4 m/s
d = distance = 0.454 m
a = acceleration = ?

v² = u² + 2ad. Since u = 0, this reduces to v² = 2ad, and rearranges to a = v²/2d = 42.4²/2*0.454 = 1979.9 m/s². Multiplying by the mass, 0.0416 kg, gives 82.4 N..

Opening a website (beside getting the domain and web host) how difficult is to admistrate it? Is "Dreamweaver" a good web development application, what type of web page can create with it, can you tell me any site that was created with "Dreamweaver"? What about putting videos on the web site, have this to do with the web development application? I was planing to open a web page but im not well known with the designation and how to administrate it, i will need some information, thank you.

Dreamweaver is probably the worst "web builder" you could choose. It generates a code that is unmaintainable.
If you open a well written site in DW, it will screw-up the code.

Learn to code: HTML, CSS, javascript, php and mysql.
W3schools.com is your BEST starting point, and is free. YOU have to put a bit of effort…
(But you will become a pro)

I signed up for Netflix so I can watch movies on the computer, and then find out that silverlight does not support my system. Kind of defeats the purpose.

its not that silverlight doesn’t support your system, it’s that your system isn’t good enough to support silverlight. you need bertter stuff to make it work.
trying to stream videos w/o decent equipment is kinda silly.
the way around htis is to veiw the systme requirments for silverlight and compare that to your systme and upgrade whatever falls short.
