I found this qestion in the qestion booklet of the Pacific Senior School Certificate in the year 2004. Here is the real qestion;
(Normal working hours are 35 hours a week. All overtime hours in excess of 35 hours a week shall be paid at one and a half times the normal rate. G. Watisoni ( an employee ) works for 50 hours in that week and his hourly rate is $12.00. He also has some dedutions such as $76. for the income tax, health insurance $10.50 and union fees $4.) Requirement is to calculate the his gross pay and his net pay as well. Also this qestion is taken from the topic as PAYROLL ACCONTS. I have spent many times to find the correct answer but could not find it.So please give me your hand to find it and I will be very thankful for your support.

Gross pay: $12 x 35 hours plus $18 x 15 hours
Deductions -
fixed: $10.50 + $4
variable: $76 for the 35 hours is about 18.1%, so an additional $48.85 or so for tax on the overtime pay.

Subtract deductions from gross pay and you get the net pay.

I’ve downloaded it and for some reason it doesn’t work on the things that it’s supposed to work for (such as listening to PLJ on the internet and playing videos on MLB.com). I put it in my applications folder and everything, but maybe there might be something I might not be doing. I don’t know, I’m kinda new on a Mac so I could be missing something.

Are you sure you download the mac version and installed it!

I’ve seen in many matches (Federer in particular) where his opponents are standing near the net and he still gets winners. Why can’t the person on the net just keep blocking the ball? Some of them just leaves it when they can clearly reach the ball.
It’s a waste of energy to put your racket out where the ball is coming towards? And if you let the opponent get a winner like that doesn’t that build momentum.

That’s kind of dumb to think that they are just giving up. Its not as easy as it looks standing at the net.

When a 90 mph ball is flying at your body, you can’t exactly prepare to hit a perfect winner.

Also, its not easy to hit winners at the net. Passing shots are usually low above the net and simply cannot be placed away with ease..(they can be drop volleyed though).

Also the width of the tennis court is very wide. I do not know anyone who can reach both sides. So when you use the example of Federer, one of the best tennis players, he can hit anywhere he wants out of the players reach.

So I don’t know how it happened but on a whole site on Dreamweaver all the files have double spacing and it’s really cool and all because it’s neat now but I need to get it back to single spacing because there’s a lot of code to go through and double spacing takes forever. What did I do and how can I get it back to single spacing? Thanks.

Not sure how to take it out overall but when you hit the enter key hold down the shift key. So press shift key then the enter while you are in and html doc. Hope that helps.

Will C# eventually pass C++? I just wanna’ know because I have a knack for learning something and the next day it becomes outdated.

Can you code WPF apps with C++?

Which one do you prefer?
Wow Jack you sure showed me.

Dick wad.

C++ has the advantage that you can find a compiler for almost any CPU made. It is also a lower level language than C# (meaning that TECHNICALLY you could write faster code though you will find in practice that slow code is almost always a design issue). C++ has also been around a very long time.

However… there are a lot more jobs for C# (and java) at the moment. C#’s learning curve is far less than that of C++ and it integrates very well with WPF. If you are looking to produce code quickly, C# is where its at. C# is a "safer" language, and with internet trust issues, security, multi-threading, pointer safety, you get a leg up in C# with automatic support. C# supports reflection, lambda functions, and a slew of other things missing from C++ (include file hell, for instance).

This whole "which is better A or B" can quickly digress into a religious war. It is almost always accompanied by some elitist ivory tower snob who will call you a "noob" for asking the question (without offering insight). It is better to ask for the advantages of one over the other. I have fond memories of C++, Smalltalk, C, Lisp, Assembly language(s), but I realize that to take advantage of a lot of new technologies out there, it’s important to adapt, so I write primarily in Java and in C# at the moment (well, and python, XSLT, PHP, et al.).

So… Of the two languages you asked about, I would recommend C#, and definitely learn WPF (including Silverlight) — even if it doesn’t survive, it is a <INSERT OPINION HERE> architectural approach to separation of concerns in GUI design. With C# you won’t feel so behind the curve. When you use some nifty new feature, just remember to ask yourself WHY it is so nifty and what pain was it intended to resolve.

Two people are pushing a disabled car. One exerts a force of 200 N east, the other a force of 150 N east. What is the net force exerted on the car? (Assume friction to be negligible.)

It’s for science and my science teacher is really ignorant and doesn’t know how to teach properly. A few kids have already dropped her classes and she hasn’t even given out formulas and expects us to do this. Could anyone help solve this ASAP? Thanks!

sum of forces = 350N east.

if it had been 200 N east and 150 N west, then the sum = 50 N east.

if 200N east and 150 N north, then the sum would have been
sqrt(150^2 + 200^2) north east

draw the forces as vectors, then add them.

I see that there are a couple errors on my website.
Since l published my website I have reformatted my computer causing me to have to reinstall Dreamweaver.
Now when I go to manage sites, my website is gone from the list. Can someone please tell me step by step how I can make changes to my website now. I have all my website folders saved on a external hard drive.

That sucks, rebuilding from scratch…..at least you have the files.

Okay, so first things first, you need these credentials to talk to your server.

FTP address,
Username,
Password,

Next open dreamweaver, click on the sites manager and add one. Use the credentials above, link to an empty NEW folder on your computer somewhere. Finish this part up…

Now you still haven’t moved any files……..and when you connect, you get all of your website to download right into it’s working folders……

The only thing you have left to do is replace the template folder and some other stuff from the archive. Remember to grab any photoshop, fireworks, flash, or other files you use to manipulate graphics, movies, etc. Take note of the folder structure in the archive.

Now make the new set of folders look like the old. Add a templates folder, drop the template in, add all your other stuff, and Voilla.

You are done. Your back in control of your custom website.

Some users wish to control the FTP a bit more.
If you don’t want Dreamweaver handling the upload/download process, just don’t give it the credentials. I prefer to use something like SmartFTP, or one of it’s free competitors so I can move around photos, videos, and such more freely. http://www.smartftp.com/
